Head of Kleeneze
Network Development, Michael Khatkar, has won the Direct Selling
Association’s (DSA) ‘Support Award’ for 2008. Presented in recognition
of an individual who has given outstanding support to a DSA member
company’s operations in the sales or administrative environment,
Michael received his gong at the prestigious ‘DSA Business Awards’
ceremony in May.
Michael, who has
been with Kleeneze since January 2000, is an integral part of the
business. He has seen the company go through varying degrees of change
over the past couple of years, and played a key role in the Head Office
move from Bristol to
Accrington.
Michael also continues to be instrumental in the growth of the Kleeneze
distributor network as he works tirelessly to encourage new individuals
to join his teams.
Of his accolade
Michael remarked: “It was very strange to be on the receiving end for a
change – one of my own key responsibilities at Kleeneze is to recognise
the achievements of the network, so I am much more comfortable
presenting the awards than I am receiving them.
“Kleeneze is
such an amazing and unique company to work for as it truly is a people
business – it is run by the people for the people and in today’s
society that is truly special. My
job is an absolute pleasure as I am part of the support mechanism for
all distributors, every one of whom has their own real life story and
distinctive outlook on life.
“The potential
of this business is immense, and our next challenge is to maintain
growth and vastly increase our base of 11,000 distributors. I believe
that at the moment we are barely scratching the surface as to what can
be achieved within this clever network marketing model.”
Comments
Managing Director Jamie Stewart: “No one in Kleeneze could have
foreseen the huge changes and challenges that have faced the business
over the past eighteen months. Michael has been unfaltering in his
support of the distributor network and new management team during this
period of massive change.
“The commitment,
drive, determination and support he has given to the network and the
company has been inspirational and he has been a key person in managing
this transition and maintaining confidence and now we are seeing the
benefits through distributor network growth.”
It wasn’t all
plain sailing for Michael as he was up against stiff competition from
Chris Parkin of Virgin Vie and Donna Russell from Nikeen. Judging the
awards were Sir Jim Lester, Keith Williams and Paul Dobson.
