Hi, I’m Mandy and I joined Kleeneze in May 2007. I have to be honest, joining Kleeneze wasn’t exactly written in gold letters at the top of my career plan.

I am a fitness instructor and Personal Trainer but after suffering a bad back I didn’t really want to return to fitness full-time.

I answered a couple of ads not really knowing what I wanted to do, only that I wanted something part-time, very flexible around my existing classes and clients, and something where my dog could come along too! Oh, and I definitely didn’t want to be working maximum hours for the minimum wage.

My partner told me I was crazy, and I didn’t believe it would work either, but I knew I had to try it to prove it didn’t work. So having set myself an ultimatum – either the business had to earn me £500 in my first month or I would quit – off I set.

My first month reads like something out of Mr Bean: The 3rd letterbox I put my catalogue through, I managed to set off the burglar alarm! (The owners had gone away and not shut the door properly!) 

My 1st delivery, my dog spotted the customer’s cat and gave chase through her house, scattering everything in his wake! On my third week, I left my car parked at the top of a hill and came back to find it was now at the bottom of the hill – I had left the hand off!

So what kept me going?

Well, oddly enough I found the business did work, I was collecting orders and I was making money.

In fact, as you can see from my cheque below, I made far more than my £500 challenge and because I was telling all my friends and clients about my Kleeneze experience, I sponsored one of them into my team too.

At the end of that first month I found that I had only failed at one thing: I had failed to prove to myself that the business didn’t work. But at least I got to prove to everyone else that it does! And it can for you too!
