Mike and Emma Williams
Mike
was medically retired 9 years ago after suffering an accident at work,
Em has had to work full time since then, having a 6 month break after
the birth of our daughter Cordy, now eight. At one point Em was working
2 & 3 part time jobs as well as a full time position in order to
try and make ends meet.
Things have been a continual struggle since Mike had to give up work, and due to financial pressures,
Em was only able to have 6 weeks off after having our second child
Ellis, now three, and worked half days through those 6 weeks - things
were so bad that Em had Ellis on the Friday and was back in the office
on the Monday!
Mike stays at home and looks after the children, as he is unable to
return to his old job as an HGV driver, going back to work in any
capacity is unlikely, and any money that he would make would soon be
eaten up by childcare fees and wouldn’t benefit us at all.
So the only option was to find something that fitted around the
children and that was guaranteed to work – enter Kleeneze!
Our goal is to have enough additional income coming in to replace
Em’s wage – thereby giving her the chance to decide whether
she wants to work full time or not – ideally for her to be able
to have a well deserved and long overdue break – but most of all
to take away the daily worry of having to make ends meet all the time
– a pressure which is difficult enough these days with 2 wages
coming in – let alone having to manage with only one.
Of course, the kids are involved in Kleeneze too and their goal is for us all to go to Alton Towers for the weekend!!!!
